Commentary

One of Sosen's earliest paintings - JDP This is a variation of "Monkey with Cricket" Not only a monkey, but the tree and ivy resemble the ones at Saionji (Kokka # 131). It is interesting that the combination of signature and seals is the same as that of the Saionji. (Kono)
